Why We Built Stratogizer – And Why We Believe It's the Future of Marketing Strategy
Updated: Jul 26
If you've worked in marketing long enough, you'll know that no two client briefs are ever exactly the same. Yet, the process behind creating an effective marketing strategy often follows the same pattern: understand the business, research the audience, validate the objectives, select the right channels and build an implementation plan.

After more than 30 years in media strategy and digital marketing, I found myself asking the same question over and over again:
Why does creating a quality strategy still take so long?
The expertise wasn't the problem. The process was.
Every new client meant starting from a blank page, gathering research from multiple sources, interpreting the brief, validating assumptions and translating years of experience into a strategy that was both practical and measurable. Even when I reused elements from previous work, I was still spending hours tailoring every recommendation. Copying and pasting from old strategies wasn't sustainable, and it certainly wasn't the best way to deliver consistent, high-quality work.
When generative AI began maturing from 2023 onwards, it became clear that the technology had enormous potential. It could accelerate research, organise information and assist with content generation. But there was still a significant gap between using a generic AI chatbot and producing a professional marketing strategy that an experienced strategist would confidently present to a client.
That gap became the inspiration for Stratogizer.
Rather than building another AI assistant, I wanted to create a platform that combined artificial intelligence with proven marketing frameworks and decades of practical experience. The goal wasn't to replace strategic thinking; it was to package it into a repeatable process that consistently delivers high-quality outputs.
The vision was simple: make expert-level marketing strategy faster, more consistent and accessible through a subscription-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, while also supporting businesses that prefer a Marketing as a Service (MaaS) model.
Of course, having an idea is one thing. Building it is another.
In late 2025, I met Nick Kay. From our first conversations, it became obvious that he brought exactly the technical expertise the project needed. His experience designing secure software frameworks and managing complex IT infrastructure perfectly complemented my marketing background. More importantly, we shared the same belief that AI should enhance human expertise rather than replace it.
Once we committed to building Stratogizer, things moved quickly.
Within just four weeks we had developed a pilot version that allowed us to demonstrate the concept to prospective customers and gather valuable feedback. That early prototype proved something important: people immediately understood the value proposition.
Over the following six weeks we transformed the pilot into a fully functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Our initial launch focused on three core modules designed around the workflows marketers perform every day:
SEO and GEO Audits, helping businesses improve both traditional search visibility and AI-driven discoverability.
Social Media Strategy and Implementation Planning, turning business objectives into actionable content and campaign plans.
Paid Media, including Media Strategy, Channel Planning and detailed Implementation Plans that remove the guesswork from campaign execution.
The response exceeded our expectations.
Every demonstration generated meaningful conversations. Marketing agencies saw opportunities to scale their strategy teams. Consultants recognised how much time they could save. In-house marketers appreciated the consistency and structure the platform provided. Most importantly, the feedback confirmed what we had suspected from the beginning: the market was ready for a product like Stratogizer.
That validation gave us the confidence to think beyond a single product.
Together, Nick and I founded Ageshio, the company behind Stratogizer and the home for future AI-powered SaaS products aimed at solving real business problems. Rather than building technology for technology's sake, our focus is on creating practical tools that make professionals more productive while improving the quality of their work.
July 2026 marked another exciting milestone as we welcomed our first paying customers to the platform. For us, that wasn't just the launch of a product. It was proof that decades of industry experience, combined with modern AI and robust software engineering, can fundamentally change how marketing strategy is developed.
We're already working on expanding Stratogizer with additional modules, deeper integrations and new capabilities that will continue reducing the time between receiving a client brief and delivering a professional, evidence-based marketing strategy. If Stratogizer helps marketers spend less time wrestling with process and more time creating value for their clients, then we've achieved exactly what we set out to do.
We believe this is the future of marketing strategy and campaign implementation.
